PATF - FASHION COURSE 1
Hello and welcome to PATF People are the future Online Courses.
Fashion Course 1 (we-R-fashion) is creating a new fashion collection for an existing brand or for your own brief.
l From the ideas / inspirations, participants need to create a new fashion collection, which ensures creativity, and ready for production and commercialization.
l If you select an APPAREL / SPORTS collection it must include the following products:
ü 3 x set bottom and top. Each set has a minimum of 2 different color ways.
ü 1 x footwear design sync with apparel.
ü 1 x accessory (bag/backpack/belt…) sync with apparel.
Please include at least 2 to 3 eco fabrics, for example, recycled polyester or cotton, bamboo or other low impact natural fibers.
Once you have registered and joined PATF you can find all the information and formats you need to complete the course successfully, in the 4 Course Support Information Folders on the PATF Website.
This is a 5 Phase Course, and it is very important you read all the information in the 4 Course Support Information Folders, before starting the course.
l You must use environmentally friendly or recyclable material in one of your designs.
l You must follow the course Guidelines, Timelines and detail your Technical Formats and Storyboards as requested. At the end of each Phase, you must upload all Phase work to the Phase Participant Assessment Folders.
lYou will find blank and detailed examples of all Technical Formats in the Course Information Folders F2, Course Formats.
lYour Designs should be functional, comfortable, and attractive.
Please use English where possible.
Participants will have up to 60 days (~8 weeks) to complete the course once you have joined / registered and started phase 1.
There is a Course Timeline Plan in Course Support Folder F1 which will help you complete the course within the timelines.
Key objectives of each Phase.
PHASE 1 –
Phase 1 is about Reading and follow Course Management and Guidelines, follow the Designs Brief and Create a Design Brief of your own, starting your Research about Brand and new Color Trend, Downloading and detailing Course Formats. Then uploading all your course work to your Phase 1 Participant Assessment Folders.
PHASE 2 –
In Phase 2 you must decide your concept and ideas, create your mood board story and your messages for this collection. You must decide your design direction of the product line (including expected colors, designs and materials of your collection). Then select your ideas as a customer, develop product line plans based on customer requirements (about price, style, product range and materials) and finalized your sketches and colorways. Including your Mood board, Fabric Mood board, Range Plan Board and Sketch Board then move to your Phase 2 Participant Assessment Folders.
PHASE 3 –
In Phase 3 you must Develop and add more details to your Designs, select ideas according to customer evaluation criteria. Create 2-3D computer images, your colorways and final line-up board. You must describe your collection with a detailed product description (flat description of the front – back of the product). Then update all your Formats and Storyboard before uploading them to your Phase 3 Participant Assessment Folders.
